Susan Hart is a nationally certified, Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Supervisor with advanced credentials in personality theory. As a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator, Susan offers group programs exploring Brené Brown’s revolutionary work on courage, connection, and vulnerability. She is also Seminar Coordinator for Glenn and Associates, CruiseOne’s ‘Seminars at Sea’ program, and will be presenting seven-day Daring Way™ cruises starting March 2015.
After earning her Bachelors degree from Samford University and a Masters in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Susan served for 16 years as director of the UAB Counseling & Wellness Center. In this position she counseled students, supervised and trained staff; designed and presented mental health programs, and mentored over 30 Masters-level counseling interns. For the past 15 years she has also maintained an active counseling practice in Vestavia Hills.
Susan began her lifelong dedication to the well-being of others as a young woman working in international training and relief work. During her 2+ years outside the U.S. she lived and worked in Cyprus, Israel, Switzerland, and Canada and has travelled extensively in more than ten other countries. Susan’s personal mission statement is “to help others live well.”
